Photo Challenge #6- Possessions Photo Project
Here are my most cherished possessions and why I love them so much.
I enjoy using my devices for activities like playing video games, watching movies, reading, and listening to music. The devices in the photo are the ones I use most. Since technology can be expensive, I would prioritize these items first if my house were ever to catch on fire. In the top left corner of the picture, you can see my Nintendo Switch and its controller. I play with my Nintendo and controller frequently because I have a lot of fun games on my Nintendo. I cherish them even more because my mom is strict with games, and I am lucky she even allowed me to buy them. Next to my Nintendo Switch is my Gameboy Advance, which was gifted to me by my sister's boyfriend, Rey, around eight years ago. I felt honored to receive it because it was his childhood treasure and he entrusted it to me. Along with it, he gave me a tin container containing Pokemon games and a sweet handwritten letter. At the bottom of the image, you can see my iPad and headphones, which were gifted to me by my mom. I value them because my mom willingly spent hundreds of dollars worth of hard-earned money to get them for me.
These are all of the cute items that I find myself quite attached to. The bunny vase with flowers at the back is the first item I have ever managed to crochet without following a pattern that someone else made, which is basically a blueprint for crocheting. I consider it a trophy for my new accomplishment. The cat lamp was a gift I received from a friend for my 15th birthday and I use it quite often. The other items that I crocheted, which are the big and mini capybaras wearing frog hats and the mushroom are something I consider precious because they took me hours to make. I consider whatever I handcraft to be something precious to me. I value the pink penguin and Bulbasaur on the sides of the photo because they are some of the first gifts that my siblings have ever given to me. I haven't seen my siblings in a long time, so I like to keep those stuffed toys around.
In the left corner of the photo is a rock that I took from my house in the Philippines' backyard. I consider it as a souvenir reminding me of my second home. The jewelry box next to it contains lots of necklaces and bracelets that were gifted to me by my sisters and friends. I like to keep them safe since they are precious gifts to me. The speaker beside it was also a gift from my sisters, and I use it often to listen to my CDs. The blue water bottle on the right was given to me by my mom. I really like it because it has my name on it and she does not often buy me cute things unless I ask for it first. The novel at the bottom of the photo titled "Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation" is the first book I bought, and it is what inspired me to start collecting books long ago. The two smaller books on the bottom right are what I use for journaling every day. They help me feel better, especially when I need to vent my emotions.
